Party Down

In 'Not On Your Wife' Opening Night (S2 E 6), the gang works the opening night of a bad community theatre farce. For all of you theatre geeks or lovers of all things Noises Off, you will laugh your tits off at the hi-jinx. This episode is a classic example of me thinking I am smarter than the show and then they, as always, out smart me.

Here's the thing about the show: is it genius ... no. But neither am I. The show grows on you and is the type of TV that gets better after multiple viewings (like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Plus, Adam Scott is adorable and Martin Starr's evisceration of screenwriting and Hollywood makes me long for the days of of sitting in the Lucas building doing the exact same thing while sitting under a signed Jack Epps, Jr. poster of Turner & Hooch.

The episode is directed by David Wain of The State who also directed Wet Hot American Summer and Role Models.

Party Down is on Starz On Demand, and if you have Netflix it is streaming for free online.

OR You can get the Video Podcast versions of S1 E1 and S1 E5 on iTunes.

Oh and Season 1 of Party Down is only 14 bucks on Amazon.com right now. Get it for cheap before the price goes back up.
